Sylvania (Kimbrough) Bentley, 80, of Humboldt, Tennessee, passed away at her home on March 3rd, 2020 at 2:30 a.m.
Sylvania was born on December 11, 1939 in Cordova, Alabama to the late Claude Kimbrough and Donie Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Myron W. Bentley.
She is survived by her four sons, Daniel John Bentley (Sandra) of Jackson, Tennessee, Douglas James Bentley (Marqueta) of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Dennis Jay Bentley of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and David Jerome Bentley of Knoxville, Tennessee; a daughter, Diana Jean Bentley Overton (John) of Meza, Arizona; seven grandchildren Andrew Bentley of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Alycia Stump of Jackson, Tennessee, Derek Bentley (Angela) of Union City, Tennessee, Jennifer Bentley of Jackson, Tennessee, Lindsey Overton of Mesa, Arizona, Heather Bentley of Edmond, Oklahoma, Nathan Bentley of Jackson, Tennessee, and Chase Overton (Jessica) of Ennis, Texas; four great grandsons Dalton, Dustin, Deacon and Davin Bentley of Union City, Tennessee; and one great granddaughter Olivia Brown of Springhill, Tennessee.
Sylvania traveled extensively in support of her husband's 21 year U.S. Air Force career. She was a member of the Air Force Wives Auxiliary Club helping to organize base sponsorship of wives and family of newly assigned service members to the military installation. She volunteered at the West Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tennessee for a number of years, with her husband, assisting the Activities Department.
There are no services scheduled for the Bentley family at this time.
