Talmadge "Steve" Mills, Sr.

Steve Mills, age 76, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tennessee.

He was born on August 7, 1948 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to the late Talmadge Dewitt Mills and Doriene Vineyard Mills. He proudly served in the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Robert Mills;brother, Gerald Mills;  and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Cathy Mills of Milan; six sons, Brian Mills and wife Chemae of Washington, Jonathan Mills of Milan, P.J. Mills and wife Megan of Jackson, Noah Mills of Milan, Rodney Vaughn and wife Brandi of Millington and Talmadge Steven Mills, Jr. and wife Anjanette of Tuscon, Arizona; three daughters, Rhonda Livingston of Cordova, Veronica Mills of Milan and Tabby Edgin of Reagan.

Other survivors include one brother, Dennis Mills of Pinellas Park, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
