Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Harvey Carter, age 45, will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan with Bro. Doug Powell and Bro. John French officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Carter died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
He was born in Cicero, IL to Thomas Edgar Carter and Minnie Lee Mitchell.
Mr. Carter graduated Milan High School, class of 1988; served in the U.S. Army and was owner/operator of Carters Heating and Air.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-father, Jerry Fuchs.
He is survived by his mother, Minnie Fuchs of Milan; sisters, Sharon Carter Lentz and husband Bobby of Oakridge, TN, Karen Elizabeth Lamprecht and husband Mike of Franklin, TN; step-brother, Timothy Fuchs and wife Millie; step-sisters, Tina Hatcher and husband Doug, Cindy Lomax and husband Adam;
three uncles, Bobby Carter of Milan, TN, Dan Carter of Madison, Indiana, George Mitchell of Arlington Heights, IL;
many nieces and nephews. Tommy had numerous family and friends and will be missed and loved by all.
The family request memorials be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
