She was born on March 14, 1972 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Daniel Grover Johnson and Diana McGraw Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Dustin Johnson; one brother, Daniel Johnson and one sister, Donna Johnson. Other survivors, include her nieces and nephew that she adored very much, Nevaeh, Autum, Ava and Michael Johnson (Linda).
