William Siroky

Mr. William John Siroky, "Bill" age 95 of Jackson, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his residence.

He was born May 16, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Albert Siroky and Jeanette Jaranek Siroky. Mr. Siroky was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Iowa during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a retired insurance adjuster for Ohio Casualty. Mr. Siroky was active in St. Mary's Catholic Church for many years including serving the Eucharist to patients in local hospitals. A talented musician, he played multiple instruments and entertained at wedding receptions and special occasionsfor over 40 years. Mr. Siroky also loved the outdoors and was an avid bass fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Roche Siroky; one son, Thomas E. Siroky; and two brothers, Irwin Siroky and Albert Siroky.

Survivors include two sons, Richard W. Siroky and wife Marilyn of Jackson and James M. Siroky and wife Kimberly of Illinois; three daughters, Karen M. Siroky of Jackson, Marikay Stachura of Jackson and Christine L. Navarro of Selmer. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A mass will be conducted on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Fr. David Graham will serve as the officiant. The United States Navy will render honors following the mass. The family will receive friends at St. Mary's from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Mr. Siroky’s final resting place will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Illinois. A brief memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery located at 7201 Archer Ave., Justice, Illinois,60458. Friends of the family are welcome to attend the service.
